When running, Stealth KeyLogger is not visible in Program Files and Task Manager. For extra security Stealth KeyLogger has a password protected interface and hot-key combination for accessing the application. Also all recorded information is stored in a secret, encrypted file.

Stealth Keylogger had all the chances to receive the first position in our rankings, though it didn’t reach the very top. But, let’s start from the beginning.
Installation process is very simple, the program can be installed only in stealth mode, so it doesn’t ask you where and in which mode it should be installed, doesn’t ask you to create a password, to choose whether to install any shortcuts, etc. What is also very important – it doesn’t ask a user to reboot his PC. All this allows the software to be installed in about 4 seconds, that cannot but be appreciated. After marking the item ‘Run Stealth Keylogger 4.9’ and clicking ‘Finish’ the window asking to enter the default password appears. After typing in the word ‘user’ appears another window giving us the information about the default hot key combination and the default password and warning us that for security reasons we will need to press the hot key and enter the password each time we need to access the program. That’s a positive point.
The interface of the program also gives a pleasant impression – it is separated into two halves – the left one is smaller and is divided into sections, after clicking one of the sections its content appears in the right bigger half of the program window.
The functionality of the program is also worth praising – the program intercepts both sides in 4 of 5 messengers, logs system log on and log off time, started applications. Such functions as ‘File-activity monitoring’ , ‘Log transfer options’ and ‘Visual surveillance’ are implemented just greatly – Log file can be delivered by all the means taken into consideration in our testing, other two sections would also have received maximum if the program could log the copying of files and make on-mouse screenshots. All the other functions of these two sections are fully implemented. The program also has a series of rare functions such as ‘Configurable self-removal’, ‘System inactivity time recording’. Such functions as ‘Ability to make screenshots of visited web-sites’ and ‘Logs copied to a portable device’ were already mentioned but we would like to accentuate the fact that they are difficult to find in the majority of monitoring products.
What really disappointed us is a very weak interception of links from browsers – in all the browsers, except Safari, only the headlines of the pages, but not the links are intercepted. Unfortunately it is impossible to find the site according to its headlines without visiting it at least once. We also waited that the product of such a high level as Stealth Keylogger will add ‘Parental control’ and emails interception in its new version, but it lacks this function. It should be mentioned that the stealthiness rate is also not enough as the program folder was found by us with the help of turning on the showing of hidden files and simple Windows search - we evaluate this stealthiness level as ‘middle’ as these were the only ‘marks’ left by the program – the software is totally invisible in Task Manager, System Tray and Start Menu, its directory is hidden.
Summing up we can say that Stealth Keylogger will come in handy to all groups of monitoring software users. This is a very advanced product with great functionality and good, though not the best stealthiness level. Only 11 points separate it from the leader of our testing - Spytech SpyAgent Stealth Edition, that scored 338 points in our testing.
